How to Reach Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

By Air
Agra airport, situated at a distance of around 54 km, falls the nearest to Bharatpur. It is around 7 km from the Agra city center and 3 km from Idgah bus stand. You can get private as well as public airlines (like Indian Airlines that operated daily flights) for reaching Agra from New Delhi. The journey will take you not more than 40 min.

By Rail
Bharatpur has a railway station of its own, which is well connected to almost all the major cities of India. Bharatpur railway station falls on the Delhi - Bombay line and has regular connections to Delhi, Mathura, Sawai Madhopur Kota and even Agra. Even the luxury train 'Palace on Wheels' has Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary in its itinerary.

By Road
Bharatpur has a good road network, linking it with Agra, Mathura and Jaipur, apart from the capital city of New Delhi. Regular bus services, both public and private are easily available from here for all major cities. If you want to travel by a car, you take hire taxis from travel operators or get them from the Inter-state Bus Terminals.
